Ubuntu in VPS Servers
With all of our VPS servers, you are able to choose the Ubuntu OS on the order page. We're aware of the fact that some pieces of software have particular requirements in terms of the OS they are installed on, so you are able to select from the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of Ubuntu. You can also select whether your VPS should include our Hepsia Control Panel or with no Control Panel at all. In the first case, you'll have everything you need pre-installed - MySQL, electronic mail server, FTP, etcetera. software, and you are able to make everything via your web browser, however the root access will be limited; whereas in the second case, you'll get Ubuntu plus the Apache server software only, which means that you will be able to install anything freely because of the full root access that you will be given, yet the server management tasks are done using a console. Our sysadmins can watch your VPS and upgrade the Ubuntu setup on a weekly basis if you add the optional Managed Services bundle which we offer.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Servers
If the apps that you need to run require Ubuntu as well as lots of system resources, you can select our dedicated servers and add this OS to your order with a single click. You are able to select between the 32-bit and the 64-bit edition of your Operating System, depending on which edition your apps need in order to work properly and to get the most of the server hardware. As you will have full root access, you will have full control over the software environment on your machine and you'll be able to install anything you'd like. The Ubuntu-powered server does not include a hosting Control Panel, therefore you can manage your content from a Secure Shell console, however if you'd like, you can install a third-party Control Panel and use a graphical interface to command your sites. If you don't want to lose time managing your web hosting server, you can use the Managed Services package, which includes countless tasks done by our admins on your behalf. The package comes with routine updates of your Ubuntu OS as well.
